SolarWinds Orion
in your pocket.
Real-time infrastructure monitoring for network engineers. Nodes, alerts, performance charts, and storage volumes — all from your phone.
Everything you need,
nothing you don't.
Built specifically for SolarWinds Orion. No generic dashboards — every screen is optimized for SWIS data.
Summary Dashboard
Your infrastructure at a glance. Active alerts by severity, node health breakdown, and key metrics in a single view designed for quick triage.
Node Health Dashboard
See your entire infrastructure at a glance. Color-coded status indicators for Up, Down, Warning, Critical, and Unmanaged nodes with real-time polling data.
Alert Management
View, filter, acknowledge alerts and add notes directly from your phone. Severity-based filtering with Critical, Warning, and Informational tiers.
Performance Charts
Interactive charts for CPU load, memory utilization, and response time. Smooth, responsive, and purpose-built for mobile screens.
Storage Volumes
Monitor disk usage across all nodes. Visual capacity bars, usage percentages, and available space at a glance.
Interface Monitoring
Track network interface status, bandwidth utilization, and error rates. Filter by operational status to find problems quickly.
Your data stays
on your network.
PocketNOC connects directly to your SolarWinds Orion server — your monitoring data never touches a third-party cloud.
All SWIS queries go directly to your Orion server. Nothing goes to a SaaS platform.
All credentials stored in the device keychain with device-only protection. Never backed up, never exported.
Connect directly to your Orion server with Basic Auth. No middleware or proxy required.*
* Requires a valid TLS certificate on your Orion server. Self-signed certificates are not supported. If your server uses a self-signed certificate, a reverse proxy (e.g., Cloudflare Tunnel, nginx) is needed to present a trusted certificate.
Built for teams
that run the network.
Keychain-encrypted storage, biometric app lock, and privacy screen protection. PocketNOC is built with security first.
Keychain Security
All credentials stored with device keychain encryption. Tokens never leave the device, never backed up to the cloud.
Biometric App Lock
Require Face ID, Touch ID, or device passcode to unlock the app. Configurable timeout protects data if your device is left unattended.
Privacy Screen
Automatically hides sensitive data in the app switcher and blocks screen recording to prevent shoulder surfing.
Direct Authentication
Authenticate directly with your Orion server credentials. No third-party identity provider or middleware required.
Zero Cloud Exposure
Your monitoring data stays between your device and your Orion server. No SaaS platform, no third-party cloud, no data collection.
Persistent Sessions
Stay signed in securely. Credentials are encrypted on device and sessions survive app restarts without re-entering your password.
Deep integration with
the Orion platform.
PocketNOC supports data from across the SolarWinds Orion module ecosystem via the SWIS API.
Network Performance Monitor
Node status, response times, packet loss, availability, and interface bandwidth. The core of Orion monitoring.
Server & Application Monitor
CPU, memory, disk utilization across servers. Application component health and process monitoring.
NetFlow Traffic Analyzer
Network traffic flow data, top talkers, bandwidth consumption patterns and application-level traffic analysis.
Network Configuration Manager
Device configuration status, compliance checks, and configuration change tracking from your mobile device.
IP Address Manager
Subnet utilization, IP allocation status, and address space visibility across your managed networks.
Database Performance Analyzer
Database instance health, wait time analysis, and query performance metrics for monitored database servers.
Common
questions.
Answers to the questions we hear most from network engineers evaluating PocketNOC.
My Orion server uses a self-signed certificate. Will PocketNOC work?
No — iOS and Android require trusted TLS certificates. You have a few options:
- Cloudflare Tunnel (free, recommended) — exposes your Orion server through a trusted Cloudflare edge certificate with no inbound firewall changes. See our setup guide →
- Let’s Encrypt via reverse proxy — put nginx or Apache in front of IIS and terminate TLS with a free Let’s Encrypt certificate.
- Replace with a CA-signed cert — install a certificate from a trusted Certificate Authority directly on your IIS binding.
Does my monitoring data go through your servers?
No. PocketNOC connects directly to your Orion server over HTTPS. No monitoring data ever passes through WeaveHub servers. Your credentials and query results stay between your device and your infrastructure.
Should I expose my Orion server to the internet?
No — we strongly recommend keeping your SolarWinds environment off the public internet. Instead, access PocketNOC over your corporate network or use a secure tunnel:
- VPN — connect to your corporate network first, then use PocketNOC as if you were on-site.
- Cloudflare Tunnel with Access (recommended) — zero-trust access to your Orion server with no inbound ports, identity-aware authentication, and a trusted TLS certificate. See our setup guide →
- Tailscale / ZeroTier — mesh VPN alternatives that are quick to set up and work well on mobile.
What SolarWinds account should I use?
PocketNOC works with both local Orion accounts and Active Directory accounts. AD accounts must use the down-level format (DOMAIN\username) during login — do not use the UPN format (user@domain.com).
Is PocketNOC free?
Demo mode is free and lets you explore the app with sample data. Connecting to your own Orion server requires a Pro subscription.
What Orion modules are supported?
PocketNOC supports NPM, SAM, NTA, NCM, IPAM, and DPA. The app auto-detects which modules are licensed on your Orion instance and only shows relevant screens.
